Vega Steering Box Question

I just replaced my old Vega box with a new one. The new box has the typical center stiff spot, however, the steering over all is stiff and when driving the steering does not come back to center without steering back to center. Everything seems to be free but the box seems tight. Do new ones typically need breaking in?

You might need to back out the adjusting screw for a few hundred miles then reset. todays quality might not be as good or where was it manufactured makes had a difference.

Vega box answer

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure where this was manufactured, but it's a good guess it might be off shore. I'll see if I can get it to loosen a bit.
