On my stock (boxed) A bone frame I used a Vega box and it looks just like Jano's.
The key to making everything work is to mock up EVERYTHING before you locate ANYTHING. Bolt the front end to the crossmember, set the engine on jack stands with the headers in place, located the body on the frame, mocked up the steering column and then located the steering box.
Also used a Vega box and cross steering on my '27 Model T. Everything is much more crambed together on a T.. they are like 3/4 scale Model A's.
Here is a photo of my Model T during the mock up, notice all the jackstands..
And after everything is tacked in place..
