vega steringbox

Hello All,
I'm thinking about putting a Vega box-in my 1941 Tudor sedan, is the Vega a good fit, and handle good? The front end is now stock well I did put new king pin's in 6 months ago. will I need to shorten the steering column, or replace it, car has 3 on the tree.
