vehicle ID numbers
I own a 1970 Nova. I am trying to see if the car is a true SS. I see some ID's are all numbers like 11427 etc, and some have letters in them like 1x14K is there two different sets of numbers on a car? The only ones I see on my car are on the plate under the hood next to the brake fluid holder, and the one you see on the drivers side of the dash, when you look through the front window and they are the same numbers. Is there other numbers?
Thanks Rick |

I think the trim tag will Tell SS or standard, not shure, not shure where the trim tag is on that car ither.
