vehicle owner

My name is Tom Woolsey and I'm 62 years old and have been modifying a 2.3 Ford turbo 4 cly. since I purchased this 79 Mustang new. It is highly modified as a auto cross, road race vehicle that I decided to add a 150hp wet nitrous direct port system and try drag racing. After installing SN-95 axels in a SVO 7.5 axel housing to decrease track by one half inch on both sides. When reinstalling SVO rotors/caliper and tightning the rear wheels, the rear caliper contacts the rotor and the wheel will lock up. Installing 3 one eighth washers on each of the five lugs shimming the rotor outward by 3/16" allows clearance for the wheel to turn. I suspect the problem is the SVO caliper mounting brackets. The 1995 SN-95 caliper mounting brackets are different and I think this will allow correct alignment for the SVO caliper and the rear disc to opperate properly. Any help or input on this swap would be appreciated. Thanks Tom Woolsey

Tom.... welcome to the board. There is alot of information available on this board, and always someone to help. As a word of advise. When posting on the board, it is best to provide a title that gives an indication of the problem, or what you are working on. Many people scan the posts, to see if there is something that they are interested in. It takes alot of time to read all posts, so many knowledgeable people will possibly miss one that is not titled well.
