Except for a set of Cragers,an aftermarket guage set,& a small tach on steering column,it all looks to be original, even the paint.Inside, seats, dash, all look brand new.Dual antennas on the rear.No dents. No rust.No bondo.Underhood wiring looks a lil ruff.

1964 Chevy

I wish I still had the 1964 Impala SS Convertible that I had in 1967. That car was white on white, surprisingly did not show dirt very much.

LOL, Probably because when you weren't low on funds you bought what you wanted to have.

I have no idea what the car is worth, but damn that's a lot of car these days for $13k. Just looking at it that way, what could you buy for that money, a ten year old Honda Accord?

If I had $13,000 to spend on a car,it would definitely go on this Impala befor the Honda !!! LOL. The bad part is the car prolly cost about $1,300 brand new.Somebody will buy it tho.Probably some kid with more money than sense & then either tear it up or chop it up.

My house cost about $8000 when new, and a replacement is $700K so what is the difference? I just see a quality car, a quality piece of transportation at $13k with the bonus of being a super cool old car to drive, with the bonus of APPRECIATION in value instead of depreciation in value as you are driving it. I have no love for the late model car except for my families safety. I want my family in one and when we go on a trip I want us in one. But daily driving around town, these older cars do the job just fine and I will be damned if I am going to drive a car payment!

But this is all personal preference, just how I see it for my world. I don't think I would pay that much either just because it's a popular car. I would be looking for the same 79k mile original in a four door or a Plymouth or Rambler and it would be a third or a quarter in cost, same simplicity, same cool old car feeling for a fraction of the cost.

A friend of mine recently saw an AMC Pacer with something like 5k miles and MINT like brand new for $10k or something like that, I forget. But THAT would have been a killer buy for a piece of transportation!

Brian

Oh I agree.I'm sure it is worth it & I'm sure it could gotten cheaper.I would rather ride in a older cool car,or,truck myself regardless of price or value.I love them & the simplicity of workin on em & keepin em in the road.
