If you haven't seen and heard these things run you have to get out to the next Goodguys show or somewhere like that to see them. I never get tired of seeing them fire these little motors up. There will be little Harley V twins, Flatheads, Hemis, SBCs, Four banger flatheads, Radial aircraft! It is wild what these guys do!

I am thankful that these minds make the motors they do because I am convinced that these are the same guys that would be killing people by the dozens and sticking them in plastic bags in the freezer if they weren't building these motors. They obviously have sick, twisted minds.

To tide you over the with the winter blues here are a few places to see running models. I am still amased at what these guys build.

One of my favorite builders:

If you like minature engines (i.e. 1/4" bore) check this builder out:

How about an 1/8" bore 4 cycle:

That takes more talent and patience than I've got. Absolutely beautiful. Hope the guy keeps that Chevy in a Chevy.

More amazing in person. When I first saw his 1/8" bore 4 stroke engine my jaw dropped. Even more amazing is that he always builds at leat two. One is running and a display case of all the parts. Seeing all those parts in minature is mind boggling. His cylinders are threaded and screwed onto the "block". Can't even imagine internal threading something that small on a lathe.

He is not the only craftsman at the shows. There are many of equal talents. I try to attend at least one a year. There are shows on the west coast. Should check them out.

If I ever get an office job. I'm putting one of these on my desk.

I can't get over how tiny the bolts are on these things.

The guy that built the mini 327 should build a mini Corvette for it.

I know this video has been posted here several times but it's still amazing to watch. This is a complete, running, exact replica of an old Ferrari:
