Very old-time rod
I screwed up and put this on "what did you work on today instead of starting a new thread - so here it is again! (Sorry 'bout that Chief!")
I saw this car for sale in early April at the Portland Swap meet.
It is now today's feature on BRING A TRAILER .COM and is for sale via EvilBay
It was featured in "HONK" magazine way back in May, 1953 and the sale includes trophies from the Oakland Roadster show as well as from other early rod shows.
Check out the engine spec's: "Engine is a 1928 Chev block modified to take a 1934 Ford Model C crank, with 1936 Pontiac rods, custom Jahns pistons, 1930 Oldsmobile three-port head modified by Harry Miller running Buda industrial diesel valves, 1938 Nash rocker arms, SU carburetors, aircraft timing cover and magneto, dry-sump system."
Body is a "1921 Dodge Touring shortened into open roadster p/u cab on 1927 Chevrolet chassis with custom built high quality pick-up bed ..."
