Hi.I`m from Mèxico.I own a 65 ford falcon.I put a 302 ford engine and a c-4 automatic trans.When i first started the engine,the car start shaking whe a give a litle gas,even when the car is stoped(parking).The mechanic toll me probably damper problem or flex plate,so i change the flex plate(28 and 50 oz.) and change two dampers too and the vibration still even when i disconect all the belts from the engine,even if i take oof the damper the problem still.Do any one knows if the problem could be the torque converter??

Have you checked your motor mounts and transmission mount? Sometimes its the simple things.

A number of years ago I bought a rebuilt 302 from a Ford dealer and didn't specify as to weather the engine was internally or externally balanced. The front pulley and flywheel were wrong. My own mistake, the engine shook like the devil. I would suggest that you make sure that your engine has the correct pulley and drive plate. [Ford made the change from internally to externally balanced in the early 80's] Hope this helps. Ed Farrell

Cheack and see if you got your fireing order right and make sure everything is right in that area mis wired plugs will make it shake and sound crapy.

Yes,the engine and trans mount are new.I read about silicon gel dampers.Do you know if that kind of dampers works good?? but i still on a doubt if the torque converter is in good shape.
I did check the fireing order and evrething is correct.The engine runs very good without any fail.I`m getting crazy with this problem.

could be the fan clutch if your falcon has one
