victor jr on a 383

I want to get an idea on how well/poor my package is set up. I have an 11:1 383 with world 202 iron heads, strip dominator intake, proform 750, msd dist and 6al, and am fairly certain the cam is a lunati voodoo 284/292.

I just traded my strip dominator for the victor jr. was this a wise choice?

Im not worried about the streetability just the performance. the 383 is backed with a th350 and 3500 stall and a 3.73 locker.

This is my first engine. Please let me know what you think of this set up and need to change. thanks

Should be a really nice street machine!! Lunati recommends a 4:11 gear but ....
The World Prod. heads are not a great choice for big power(I have a set on my 5.0..not terrible but fit my budget well) but I would think better than stock. You didn't say how big the valves and ports are....but "they say" AFR heads are the hot ticket for big power. What'a you think....450/500HP! Nothing worng with that!

"Fairly certain the cam is..."? You need to KNOW what it is. While I prefer the Vic Jr. over the Strip Dom intake, the difference in a few degrees of duration @ 0.050" can make the difference in whether a dual plane RPM-type intake will out perform ANY single plane intake. And if this is a strip-only deal you need more stall and gear along w/more cam, 1-3/4" headers (and possibly more carb) to let the Vic Jr. carry its weight.
