VIN Location
Hi...Does anyone know where the VIN # would be on a 1940 Chevy 4 door sedan? Thanks!

I believe is on a plate riveted to the floor on the passenger's side just inside the sill plate. Lots of those cars had the floors rust out in that area and the plates were lost. Hopefully yours is still there.

that's where it is normally.. but it's also on the frame near the master cylinder.
