VIN Location 1936 Plymouth

I need to know the location(s), other than the original engine. Can any body help please?

I'v got a 37 Dodge business coupe and I don't know where my vin is either. Might help asking these guys: www.mopar.com/ maybe they can help or put you on the track.

Found the answer thru Google on www.ply33.com. According to them, there was no "VIN" prior to 1954. There were engine , serial, & body numbers any of which may be on your title. FWIW, if you have the serial #, Chrysler has "Build Cards" that go back to the early 30's. They will research & make you a copy for $45.00.

what a shame Chry charges for them, chevy gives ya restoration package to ya for free, tells ya everything about the car or truck that ya would ever want to know...........joe

36 Plymouth and 37 Dodge serial numbers are located on the right front door pillar.
36 Plymouths - Model P1 (Six) and P2 (DeLux 6) If the serial no. starts with 1 it was made in Detroit- 2-made in LA or 3-made in Evansville, Ind.
37 Dodge was a model D5
