Vin Number Location???

I cant seem to find a vin number location on a 1941 Chevy Coupe. Is there any other vin number location other than the motor, and the passenger floor plate that people talk about? I bought this car without the motor and the plate is half oxidized. So none of those locations would be of use for my situation. Can it be found of the frame somewhere or stamped into the body somewhere? Please help! Thanks!

Nope. The body tag located on the passenger's floor panel just inboard of the rocker panel is the only reliable source for the VIN on the '41.

I think that you are out of luck. This is a page of all the identifying numbers on the '41 chev passenger car. It is from the 1941 service manual:

http://chevy.tocmp.com/1941shop/41csm003.htm

This is the front page of the manual with the index. The whole manual is available on line thanks to tocomp and the Old chevy Manual Project. There are many other manuals and other information available from brochures to service bulletins.
