Post Vin Numbers

Hi, Im brand new to this site. what i have is a 1927 ford t bucket kit car, in need of complete rehab. but before i start this car it was built by a guy that died some years ago, the car was never finshed or titled with vin numbers. i have a bill of sale from his brother. so i called the D.M.V. and was told i need slips for everthing that was bought to build this car. all i have is a glassbody(with no numbers or where it was made) and a hand builtframe. thanks for any help you can give me.

every state has different requirements for getting a vin no. Luckily i live in mich which has a very easy system. When i was going to college in a southern state i just sent a fictitious no. to a title seller in alabama and recieved a title. then stamped the no.s into the frame and used the car for years. sold it and new owner had no problem transfering it to ohio.

When that happens around here, We just have some friends make out receipts. and have them back date them. As for the frame, have a receipt for the metal and tell them you made the frame.

Arrow

Get a Good Guys Gazette or a NSRA Street Rodding magazine, they have title vendors in there that you can get a title from and they give you a number plate with it, very easy.
