vin numbers!!??? HELP!!

does anyone know if its ok if you only have the vin numbers on the dash of the car and no fender tag(it was removed probably long ago), also the rad support was replaced so those numbers dont match, the motor dosent match, and the kicker is..the vehickle was altered in restoration ,incorrectly, making it have the characteristics of a different car in the same "family" of cars. SO....

A. How do you prove you have the car which is on the dash vin (When now the car is altered to another type!)and is it ok just to have this vin?

B. Can you legitimately call your car what it actually is if you sell it?

thanks

The vin numbers on the dash of the car are all you should need to prove that the car was originally what they say it was. All you have now is a custom vehicle. What was your car originally and how has it been altered?

Vin numbers

The car is a roadrunner but the previous owner took out the rear door posts and put in crank down windows in their place. It now looks like a satelite but it has the RR vin numbers which match the title. It really irritates me. Im tempted to reconstruct the door posts/windows to stationary.

look on the lip of the trunk (not the lid) rail on the drivers side under the trunk seal about at the middle( you should be able to feel it with your fingers if you run your fingers along the lip close to the edge from underneath) there should be the last 8 numbers of the vin tag. If the numbers are wrong the vin does not belong to that car
