Vin or title information Washington state

Im building a 29 ford and wanted to know how i can get it titled. I bought the body and frame off a guy who said that i should take pictures of all the peices to the DOL and they would be able to give me a New vin and title. I figured i would have to wait till its built and get the state patrol inspection and then get it registered and then titled. Is there any Old vin#'s stamped anywhere on the frame or body of the model a? Any help with this would be great!

Be sure and have all your reciepts and bills of sale..title in the state of Wa is a seperate issue to itself..If you have all of your paperwork in order should not be a problem..Look on the website for the state of wa for more info..

I have tried most all of it and now do what is known to work..

Model A's have the vin number stamped on the top of drivers side frame rail, near the fire wall. can only be seen if the body is off the frame.

IN WASHINGTON you can plate anything that runs. it has to run tho, take it like you said to an inspection station, if it has no vin or the wrong one then you just getta plate/registration and NO title, after you wait three years, if no one has claimed your prize, you can apply for a title. been there done that on my 55 truck when the title i had for 15 years had the wrong vin on it
