Vintage air & LS1 factory compressor

I'm building a 40 Packard street rod, I have installed a Vintage air in it. I was told by the Vintage air people that my compressor would not work with their unit. I need to buy a new compressor to mount up where the factory one is and have top mount fitings. I don't need chrome because once its built you can't see it anyway. anyone know where I can buy this and not spend a lot of money---Richie

You can try Street and Performance, they have some LS1 specific items for street rods and show cars, they also make a lot of AC components, thats mainly why I am suggesting them!
