vintage car trunks 20-30s heellpp

Hello
i have a 20-30s vintage car trunk, the kind that goes on the outside of the car not built on the car. this was made by ajax trunk new york. i was told by some that it was from the 20-30s era. has anyone seen a pic of one of these trunks on the rear of a car? this trunk is not a small square trunk!
its 4' long 25" tall 15" deep at bottom and 8" deep at top. i have a pic of a very simular trunk only difference is mine is not as pretty, and has leather handles and hinges. does anyone know where i can sell or get rid of this trunk? seems like no one wants these old trunks for there cars! i was going to ebay the trunk but shipping would be really high. does anyone know of a company or restorers that are interested in these trunks? any info woud be great.

Welcome, I think E-bay would be your best bet. People do not seem to care how high the shipping is if you got something they want.

car trunk

I have a 1947 Rolls Silver Wraith. The trunk lid hinges back and is designed for a trunk to be placed on it and strapped down. If the appearance and size of yours was right, I may be interested. Do you have a photo to email? My email is andrew@teranrealty.com Thank you. Andrew Peck, Woodstock, NY

Both of you guys are welcome here at Hotrodders, but you do need to read the Hotrodders Bulletin Board Policy that is located near the top of every forum. The policy specifically states no advertiseing allowed on the forums. There is a classified ad section for those purposes. Thanks.
