Vintage tool making

Just for interest I found this on The web..this site has plans for making your own shop tools..I put this out just to show what some of the old guys did..

Nice find OMT. I checked out a few things and then bookmarked it so I can go back and spend a few hours later. I love that old ingenuity.

The band saw made from pipe fittings and model t spindles and hubs is a testament to the resourcefulness of the old guys. Like Sam, and Dewey...... J/K
( I'm not gonna poke fun at you , Dan ..you brought me food. )

The lathe with the bed filled with concrete...that's a neat trick.

There is a company called Lindsay publications that sells plans for all kinds of stuff like that, Although the plans and books are not free, they are usually very complete, I knew a guy who made several small machine tools ,steam engines and a few hit and miss motors from lindsays plans.
