Vocabulary question about hydraulic system parts for brakes

Hi all,
I can't find the name of a component from the braking system of my chevy cavalier 05. If you follow the master cylinder, 2 steels hoses are going into a casted block that splits these 2 hoses into 4 brakes hoses.
My question is, how do you call this splitting system?
And if you are really wize, could you tell me if this is a front/rear split system or a diagonal split?
My car is a cavalier 05, no ABS

I can't find a proporitoning valve for a cavalier 05 over the internet. What is find is not exactly like my part. So, before my frustration reaches a critical point I've just gone outside to take a picture of the part.

Can you help me to identify this part? I want to verify something because when I follow each of the 4 brake hoses, it looks like this funny thing splits the 2 main hoses left/right, and not front/rear or diagonal.

Thatīs what it is and what it does, not logical to split brakes side to side.
You can find what you need online at RockAuto.

How the proportioning valve works.

It may be called a 'Combination Valve'.

IIRC, through the years the schemes for plumbing the brakes have run the gambit from front to rear, side to side and diagonal.
