Post Volare front clip

Will a Chevy power steering pump properly activate the Volare power steering system ? I have a '77 Volare clip in the front of my '37 Pontiac..

I've never heard of anyone having any problems with power steering on Volare front ends with any brand of engine. I have a Ford pump but know guys running Chevy engines with the Volare front ,No problems.
