I would use a Edelbrock Performer Vortec. If you use the cheapy professional products intake, you may get a intake that doesn`t have enough material on it`s deck to seal on the heads. Years ago a customer brought a PP intake to me and the intake gaskets overhanged the coolant port by 1/2 inch. The only way to fix the intake would have been to weld it up and machine it back flat. I told him to get a Edelbrock performer Vortec, problem solved. Make sure you use Edelbrock gaskets and Gasgacinch. If you go the Vortec route, and if your cam is over .460 lift, you will have to have the guides clearanced on the heads. Otherwise it`ll make contact and the game will be over.
