Question Vortec Intake Manifold Detent Bracket?

Anybody ever hook a TH350 detent cable to a vortec style intake manifold? Only brackets I can find are for regular style intakes. Could fabricate something but wondering if someones already done it and has some know how.

When I did a customers vehicle, I ran into the same problem, so I ordered a new and slightly longer detent cable, and bought a aftermarket throttle/detent bracket that bolts to the back of the carb. I believe some early GM vehicles came with this arrangement from the factory.

There are a few different types. I had the type that bolts to the two rear intake bolts, when switching to vortec heads just bend that bracket to the different angle and it works.
I have also used the bracket that bolts to the carb, factory and aftermarket have these.

Both suggestions sound good but since I already have the bracket and cable I think I'll try Jason's idea. I'm also going to search for the aftermarket one just to see if it's a "cleaner" setup. Thanks
