Vortec TBI ?
I'm thinking about putting Throttle Body injection on a small block Chevy engine that has Vortec heads with a carb type intake. I can make an adapter to make the throttle body fit the intake with no problem.
My question is do I need an EGR valve to make the computer function properly, or will it work without it.
I can get an intake that has provisions for an EGR, but the intake made for that application is pretty pricey and my budgit is limited, or else I would buy an aftermarket EFI. I already have everything to make it TBI except the proper intake.
You can save time and buy a Holley TBI adapter, or the adapter for a TBI 454 engine. EGR can be tuned out. You just need an oxygen sensor and a MAP sensor and it will work
