Thanks Bob, appreciate it! If it's all right with you guys, I'm thinking "1955, '56 and '57 shoebox Chevy retro-rods" for April's contest.

'55 - '57 Chevys sound good to me ..........

Wondering if there is anyone who is handling the contest now that Jon has left?

Jon, sent me a PM and explained that presently, no one has taken over or sponsored the art contest, so until a new sponsor comes along, we're probably without a contest. I guess we still could have one, but there would be no prize offered. That's fine with me, but may not be attractive to other participants when there's no incentive to shoot for. I'll probably still do the monthly project anyway, and post it like always.

I'm OK with no prize as well ........Jon and I discussed the prize as an insentive to get people to join. As you may remeber, the art contest was slowing dying.........

Is there anyone here who would like to run the contest and set up the voting each month??

I thought about it, but as of April 1st, we're back at work and at full swing next week with our seasonal business, and wouldn't do it justice with our 70+ hour work week. I could manage from December to March, if someone else would manage it the rest of the time. Maybe Mark will come back and take it over again. He did an excellent job. Mark, where are you? We need you!!

P.S. Just to add, like you mentioned, Bob, I can remember when the contest started to award the prize, hoping that more would be interested in participating. It has not greatly increased the participants or voters as indicated in the last few months. Good example is this past month - 10 votes! Although people are viewing the artwork, they're not taking the time to vote. Maybe this is just a lost cause.
