Voting Starts Now "Hotrodders Christmas Art Blowout Contest" 2009

During the months past, the members of Hotrodders.com have been having fun in a year long friendly competition of art, photography and more to give the readers and viewers more fun as they browse this encyclopedia of hot rods. As the season ends, member Fortypickup won the Thanksgiving contest and opted for an Anything Go's "Christmas Art Contest Blowout" for a final bash of giving still till the end of the year in high quality images by all the members choosing to share until the eve of the New Year. This one is by far the most competitive of all since so many members seem to be in a great Christmas spirit. Please Add your vote to the members work of your choice and have fun most of all, their work is well worth your time to stop and place a vote.

Voting for the polls begins now and runs until December 31st to ring in the new year with a bang as the poll closes automatically and the winner is crowned for the beginning of the new year, along with this is we have another vote going until the 28th of December to have a top "Header Image" to place in each months art contest.

Below is the Artists smaller images in order of posting date and another link to the original larger version to make your browsing easier of this topic. Please look, read and vote, these guys worked hard and appreciate your interests.

1: fortypickup "St Nicks Delivery"
Forty has been a many times over winner and of course his talent runs to all styles of input in the contest. This year he was the winner of the preceding contest and dropped this image in immediately with a fine example of a Hotrodders Christmas card all can enjoy, simple yet complicated in the way he uses his aspect of stretching and unique colors to make his version of St Nicks Pickup one you will remember for years. His standards are high and he again fulfills all expectations we all enjoy in artwork.

2: brickyardboy Three Entries "Plowin Away, Snowed In Classics, Bringin Home The Tree

Member Brickyardboy blindsided the members with a win from his earliest contest and first time as a winner in this competition, he brings you a demanding talent that is all pencil generated in each pieces of work, mellow tones, non linear lines you know have been done by hand with that little edge of sketch that makes them all unique, none could be repeated I'm sure to the finest details. Brickyard gives you three images to choose from At Christmas time.

3: 57Corvette Four Entries "Santa Takes A Break, The Wonder Of Christmas, Santa's On His Way, Snowy Christmas Scene"
Through the months, member 57Corvette stands as a deciding vote 90% of the time heavily involved in the contests on each occasion, he doesn't fail again this year dropping in four unique images and versions of hot rod artistry through a mix of photos and images combined to produce an astounding effect. His submissions this month are truly a mix of Norman Rockwell, and brilliant art spectrum of photo manipulation considering nothing was left out of any details he included in his work. A fine example of a card you would or wouldn't if you know how hard it is to find a hot rod Christmas Card in the store isles.

4: 67camaro101 "Chevy Pickup Holiday Cruiser"
Not as often as we'd like to see is member 67Camaro101's renderings of hot rod art, considering this young man has only been at this a short time, he takes his skills to a new level this month with a clean adaptation of a Chevy truck with all the Christmas trimmings to get the feeling across easily, blending depth and color just right to further enhance his images in his style of illustration.

5: Doodler "Santa Chasin And Racin !!"
Doodler is fast becoming one of the favorites to see each month and this one again was worth the wait, his skewing of images and style of art is far different than what you see in the normal arena of artists. A clean, concise style of drawing to illustration with details that are at the least very crafty and his image shows his cool, mean but fun auto images at Christmas. The mix of Christmas "Key" elements inside his considerably original style develops into a really great bad santa look and a fun one at that on his mission. His work is by far some of the best illustrating at Hotrodders.

6: hotrodrendering "Santa's Garage, Street Rodders Christmas"
We have a new member participating this month with "hotrodrendering" posting into the fray a sample of his work that is IMO, very "Tim Burtonish" as in the 3D animation done by the creators of the "Nightmare Before Christmas", his use of depth and shadows creates a feel of standing right there inside the image, a very different feel to them at first glance but the closer you look, all include minute details that ring out at you and catch your eye subtly. hotrodrendering has submitted two images

"Santa's Garage"

"Street Rodders Christmas"

7: Only Racing "Santa's Lil Helper II"
A mix of photos and illustration "Only Racing" creates the second version of his Christmas submission using only the ground and the wall as photo and the rest illustration. He wishes you all a merry Christmas in this Wild Santa’s Ride heading south to give gifts. There are four versions and two printable cards in 4X6 and 5X7 Hi Res for you if you like to download and print at home with his regards, just add text.

You've now seen the work and voting will begin, hopes of a strong vote and moreso the continuation of this hotrodders cllassic monthly addition will prime others to add to the contests and include more perspectives into the realm of cool hotrodders art.

Enjoy and Vote Guys !!

Wow, I'm glad that I didn't have the time to enter this month!!
