Wal Mart Floor Jacks

I was at the local Wal-Mart last night wandering around the automotive section and noticed they had a bunch of 2 ton floor jacks in the clearance area. They were a whopping 7.00! OK so I bought one, I already have a Craftsmen 3 ton I need to fix the handle on (have to use a socket to engage the pump. ) .

I figured you can't have enough jacks anyway but anyone had any experience with these.?

Regards
Mark

How big are they? I know that they have those little tin sided things with plastic wheels, that they rate at 1 1/2 tons. Its not one of those. is it? I wouldn't jack up my golf cart on one of those.

I have two pairs of their large stands(maybe 6 tons or something) and they have worked great. I think there are probably only one or two companies making stands since all the brands look the same with different paint and stickers.

I have used my Wal-mart jack and stands for years. No problems. Of course my car only weighs 2100 pounds soaking wet so you heavy metal guys may have a different story...

cheap jack?

Might use it to change a tire in a pinch, I really hate the jack that comes with the newer cars.

I think for the money you cant beat em,but I would not trust em to what they are rated at,just like most of the stuff they sell.
