Walker Super Turbo sound change?
The Walker Super Turbo mufflers have a glass packing inside.
Do they change sound as they get older like the straight through glass packs do? Walker seems to avoid comment while dissing old glass packs.

I don't know if mine were "Super Turbo" or not, but I have Walker (full-sized) on the Caprice that were installed June '04 when I had the 383 in it, and by fall of that same year they had grown noticeably "throatier" in sound level and tone.(With full exhaust: headers>hiflow cats>mufflers just ahead of axle>overaxle pipes>dumping 2" past back edge of rear bumper). Seems most mufflers suffer some degradation of packing over time.

I think they all change in sound regardless. New flowmasters sound like crap until they get broken in good. broken in meaning about 500 miles and plenty of heat. The thrush turbo on my pickup changed after about a 1000 miles.
