Walking down the aisle music
Okay, so I'm getting married.
I know the traditional Wagner song, Lohingrin or whatever is a safe bet. But I can't get the monday night football theme out of my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZtEci3NUQ4 I haven't brought it up with my fiance yet, but !@#$%%^&* I want this song. Am I in the midst of of an episode of insanity, or genius? |
Depends. If you are the bride, you are in. If you are the groom, you better make sure the bride is in or you are going to really test your marriage before it is official.

Maybe if you drop out of the ceiling or something like that...

This day in age, almost anything goes for wedding music...provided the bride and groom are in happy agreement about it. Just a week ago my son's band played a wedding in LA and the couple specifically asked him to create an arrangement of an old Kinks song from the 60's for their grand entry. Turned out nice, I hear, but sure sounded like a strange idea to begin with.
If you are at all concerned your lovely is not necessarily going to go for your idea, I'd present it to her in the midst of a whole bunch of other tunes...including the traditional ones you mentioned. Better yet, have an actual performance of each...like the Youtube you linked above. That way, she will know you are serious about the MNF theme and not just joking around...which can ding an idea pronto. And when all else fails...go with your mate's top choice. |
I love it!
Probably get a chuckle from most and a few glares from the purist. |
I'm sure that whatever she decides will be just fine. :D
