Want to change headlights

A co-worker of mine has been working on a 37 Dodge for a few years now and its almost done but he is considering doing something different with the headlights , but cannot decide what , can anyone here help out , what kind of headlamp would look good on this type of car ? He designed and built his own grille .

That must be a '47 Dodge because it's definitely not a '37.

How about some late model buckets and lamps..That might look good and be something good for show..

He is obviously have to be going with a round headlamp. I would scavenge the HID lighting from a late model Nissan, Mitsubishi, Lexus or whatever has HID lighting. Then just get some lenses designed for halogen lighting.

JMO's, I'd just french some Cordoba headlights in the stock location. The factory did a nice job outlining the headlight area and the placement just looks right for this bodystyle. I definately wouldn't graft any newer flush mounted capsule style lamps in- they just wouldn't go with the rest of the body design. The grille and front bumper setup doesn't do anything for me, definately different but just not right IMO. The bumper is useless in a collision anyway given the height it will be at. I'd redesign the grille and front panel and lose the bumper then french in some clean looking lights in the original location. I've never really cared for this bodystyle but it sure looks good slammed. JMO's
