Want to rebuild my 10 bolt

I am thinking about rebuilding my 10 bolt rear end from my 71 camaro. I would like to put a 3:73 gear ratio in. I have a 350 engine, pretty worked, maybe 400 plus horsepower. The cam is a z-cam with a max 6400 rpm range. I have a 2300-2500 stall speed converter and transmission is a strong turbo 350 .. I am pretty sure the rear I have in it is stock and non-posi.(Will check codes on rear) The question I have is, Would I need to replace axles or are the ones I have strong enough. Also, what else should I do to it so it will handle the torque and horsepower? Can I put a posi in it? If I can get away with getting the parts for under 500 hundred, maybe 300, that would be excellent. I dont want to bust my but with this. How long will it take to complete , if I have everything I need? Would like to be prepared and avoid any surprises, Any help is greatly appreciated. God bless

i had a 10 bolt in my truck. it had 3:42 gear non posi. 350 with 425 hp. it hadled it just fine. yeah you could put a posi unit in it. brand new there like $400 to $500. youll need one that will fit a 8.5 ring gear for the 10 bolt. i say the axles would be fine. just make sure the posi unit will have the sme amount of splines as the axles

Quick Performance has Posi, Gears & Intall Kit Pkg.'s on Evilbay for $535.

Not sure what brand Install Kits are included, I'd ask for a Yukon Master Install Kit, they have Timken Bearings & Super Shims. Posi looks like a Yukon DuraGrip, not sure about brand of Gears.

What you may see when you pull the axles is a groove worn into the axle where the brng. rollers ride cause the axle it self acts as the inner race of the brng. If you see thuis you might as well go on and get a good set of axles. I have less fear using the c clip set up if the axles are good ones not stock ones with a groove worn in to them that can be a weak spot. Never mind the new brngs. want a good flat surface to ride on. Replace the seals too but Im sure you know that.
