Not as good field to be in here in the state's either!!
My wife works for Marconi/Lorain Products that just sold to Emerson/try www.emerson.com they hire and fire at will here, you have to be damn good and have a thick hide. My wife is looking at going back to school in the medical field. She has 17 yrs in service and developement. GOOD LUCK!

what kind of position are you looking for? i don't know anything about the toronto job market but i'm in the telecommunications field myself. i install residential phone cable and internet service for rcn, a competing cable and phone company in the us major markets. i was just curious

the telecom. industry really took it on the chin during this last downturn. most start ups are gone now there is definitely much more supply than demand for any positions in the industry right now,
we use digital phone service over our fiber network i just do residential i'm not involved with any pbx or switching systems. we use tellabs equipment. if the economy keeps a steady and gradual rebound things should start to get better in 2005, i hope you get something soon. |
