My wife works for Marconi/Lorain Products that just sold to Emerson/try www.emerson.com they hire and fire at will here, you have to be damn good and have a thick hide. My wife is looking at going back to school in the medical field. She has 17 yrs in service and developement. GOOD LUCK!

After finishing college I started with Bell Canada as a project manager installing the large office PBX'S and Call Centers. I also received all of my training at Nortel on their entire product line. After many years at Bell I decided to leave and join a new US company called Rolm as you may be aware Rolm was a new PBX company that competed in the high end PBX market against all of the Telco’s after that I had many sales and management roles. I lost my job from a small Voice over IP Company 6 months ago and I am finding it tough to even gat an interview these days.

the telecom. industry really took it on the chin during this last downturn. most start ups are gone now there is definitely much more supply than demand for any positions in the industry right now,
we use digital phone service over our fiber network i just do residential i'm not involved with any pbx or switching systems. we use tellabs equipment.

if the economy keeps a steady and gradual rebound things should start to get better in 2005, i hope you get something soon.

I deal with a company in Ottawa called Bridgewater Systems.

They are expanding (international already) and hiring.

Check out their web page:

Thanks for the lead, unfortunately for me they are located in Ottawa and I live in Toronto. I can not relocate at this time but you never know the way my marriage is going these days you just never know.
