Warning Jackson Performance

I had Jackson Performance in hendersonville NC build my th350 not even 200 miles on the trans and would not shift into second or third. took the trans out and missing one of seals on the front pump, fine metal and brass on filter, clearance on clutches to @ 50 thousands. Can not get a hold of Luke or Scott phone just rings to voicemail but mail box is full cannot leave message. I am P.O. to say the least, shoddy workmanship. And to boot cannot even get ahold of these gentleman left emails to the site nothing no response. I have to have the trans rebuilt new internals valve bodies everything basically converter did survive though. No abuse just normal driving, not even a burn out. Just be aware I guess since I didn't have a Pro Street trans built they gave me **** in a case. 700 dollars to build it up again right. I live in northern california and I couldn't even get a hold of these *******s to even ask if they would warranty the trans and I would send it back. What kind of ****ing business are they running here. Anyone else want to chime in? I heard good things about there builds but what kind of business can you not even get ahold of anyone on a consistent and timely manner! Pls beware I do not want anyone else to gone what I have had too.

tranny problems..

wow that sucks.. this is the main reason i only deal with local's. when building my bucket, i had the trans completely redone and installed it 6 or 7 months later. fired it up for a test and found a small leak.. called and they sent a tech to my house the next day to fix.. sorry to hear your problem..

I'm no expert by any stretch but the sealing ring that's missing is in the place where you'd expect to see it removed if dual feeding it. The one shown below looks different than yours (yours has two rings close together at the 'bottom'). This could be just a design change made during the run of TH350 transmissions for all I know.

The photo below is from Jakeshoe's article on rebuilding the TH350. The article can be seen HERE. It shows the ring that's removed when doing the mods to dual feed.

As for the rest of it, there is some severe wear going on, especially if the shaft wore that much in that short of a time, more likely it was worn when it was installed.

Looks like a lack of lubrication for whatever reason caused much of the wear in that short of a time, though.

never heard of 'em. Sorry for your bad luck. Definitely not who I would have recommended obviously (Lonnie, JakeShoe, CKPerf, RPM, Finishline, Art Carr). Hell even TCI or Jasper would have answered their phone at least.

Make sure you post up the rebuild, and who did it and the final results.

Now that it's torn down/apart, they'll use that as an excuse to "void" any warranty. I agree with doing business locally.
