This is a warning going out to EVERYONE. DO NOT deal with a company by the name of Hwy 41 Scrap Metal. They WILL rip you off. I purchased a Rear End from them over a month ago and haven't received it. After numerous calls and emails, they came up with excuses after excuses, if I could get in touch with them.

I called the sheriff's department in their town and they had around 25 complaints. One of the only ways to act on it however is to personally go there. And it is far away.

PM me their phone number and what kind of rear end you were looking for. That way I can call them and ask for the same part and when they tell me they have it, I can remind them of their previous obligations with you. He!!, I might even do my best Roy D. Mercer on 'em.

For the amount of money that it costs for a rear end I would pile four or five buddies into an ol' truck and go down there. THen I'd get out and say, you got about 30 seconds to put a rear end in the bed of this truck, or you're going in it instead. Make up your mind.

It's a shame to see somebody get ripped off in any situation. I know that there are issues here about publicly discussing a company, but you might want to post this on some other boards as well. At least maybe you can keep someone else from suffering the same fate as you.

LOL, that would be hilarious. I have a bad taste in my mouth about this kind of thing because back when I was a little younger I let a mechanic screw me over when all my stuff got stolen out of my truck. I've kicked myself ever since. I will definately not ever let that happen again, so I feel strongly about these things.

Tell me where this place is and I'll take a ride I'm only about an hour away from alabama. I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and yet to have rip anyone off. I've even fixed cars for nothing because the people didn't have any money.
