warped door panels

i have a 56 pontiac that the vinyl looks ok on the front panels but the cardboard is warped. is it possible to get the vinyl off so i can glue it on a new board? anybody have any tips? im thinking about soaking them in water to get the cardboard soggy. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

The vinyl will not come off the boards without destroying,its time for repros or have a local trim shop make you some that are close in design. Jeff

Are they flat panels? If so, and you want to keep with your original interior, it may be possible for you to get some aluminum sheeting, thin stuff, and glue the existing, warped backing to this. Make cutouts to match existing holes and reinstall. Maybe....Just an idea.
