waste oil lubricant

Speaking of waste oil, would there be a problem using waste oil as the lubricant for drill press and band saw work?

Only problem I know of is that you will get your pieces a bit dirty. Sure beats the cost of special cutting fluid. I'd avoid it for tap and die stuff where clean is more important.
