water in compressed air, what do i need?

i built my garage a couple years ago & i put in a devilbiss 6.5 hp 60 gallon air compressor. i never plumbed my garage with air lines, i just work straight from the compressor. when it rains a lot, or in the winter time especially, i get a lot of water coming through my air tools (die grinders). i put on one of the water separator/oilers thinking that would solve my problem, i was wrong. that little thing is a joke. i think i need something more like a devilbiss QC3 filter/dryer, but it's around $150.00 bucks. is this going to solve my problem? is there a cheaper way to go? my garage isn't heated either, so will that be a problem?

thanks
