Water pump casting numbers

How can I determine if my BBC has a long or short water pump? I checked the internet for casting number information but was unable to find anything. The casting number on the water pump is 10126716. Thanks for the help

the neck that leads up to the pully is longer on a long pump, take it to napa or such, they could match it up.

if you have a short pump but need a long one you can get the leg extensions or spacers from many places.jegs has them from moroso for $30.00.you may still have to use shims to align your pulleys though.
