One of the problems with water in the transmission is that it turns the fluid into a new chemical that looks (and does not smell) like peanut butter. About the same consistency too!

Another problem is that when it gets about -10 or so, the water seperates from the trans fluid and freezes, and then when you fire it up, some part that is supposed to move/spin can't and your buddy Eric's T5 in his astro detonates like a hand grenade, and then he's too cheap to buy a new one, and he gets some used ones from some camaros and another astro and trys to put them together to form some hybrid, franken-worldclass astro T5, and you end up with parts all over his porch and he doesn't remember where they go or how to put it all back together, and he calls you to help him sort it out.

I'm ranting now.
