have yet to really find a wax i like. always leaving my car looking a bit streaky. i suppose it could just be that i'm a lousy at waxing my car. figured i'd ask around though...what waxes do you guys like? or perhaps it's not the wax but the old pad i use...so what sort of pads do you guys like?

You might have to do a clay bar treatment of your car and remove all the old 'crap' stuck to the paint. If, after you wash it, there is kind of a rough surface left, it is telling you it needs help. I concur with Vince - Mcguire's, but the pro stuff in the numbered tan bottles instead of their 'consumer' stuff, all the way. The #26 Yellow Carnuba is my old standby tho I just tried some of their new NXT on my '06 black F350 Crew Cab, and it turned out looking nicely - but I'll wait and see if it holds up well.

You should use old towels or microfiber cloths to wipe the residue off - and CLEAN, with no fabric softeners when they are washed
