Waxing with Rust

Hello. Well, its the midst of winter here, so even after I was my car, it gets dirty. But, it does shine nice when clean. However, there is some exposed rush on the front fender, and I simply am not in the position to fix it right now. However, I would like to get it nice and clean and wax it to prevent a little more damage.

Is waxing in the midst of winter worthwhile? And what should I do when it comes to the exposed rust? Just avoid that, or would waxing it help?

Any tips? Thanks.

rust

clean it and put a little navel jelly on it it will stop the rust but will turn white when killing the rust then you can prime it.
