which way does it turn?

I am working on my olds 330 motor and I am having timing problems--and starting problems--anyway i think I might have put the wires on worng--which way does an olds 330 rotor turn? clockwise or counter clock wise----does any one have any diagrams or pictures of ignition wire placement?

Damn I need to get to work tomorrow--this isnt looking promising

The only engine I've seen run counter clockwise is a Honda 4 banger. Everything else that I know of runs clockwise.(looking from the front of the engine)

Pontiac distributor also turns counter-clockwise - but you probably knew that from the second part of your post...
