The Dems want to cut just about all defense allocations. The F22 is already on the chopping block. Vince Last edited by 302 Z28; 04-13-2009 at 11:01 AM. |

Michael Donley is secretary of the Air Force. Gen. Norton Schwartz is chief of staff of the Air Force. We support the final four F-22s proposed in the fiscal 2009 supplemental request, as this will aid the long-term viability of the F-22 fleet. But the time has come to close out production. That is why we do not recommend that F-22s be included in the fiscal 2010 defense budget. Make no mistake: Air dominance remains an essential capability for joint warfighting. The F-22 is a vital tool in the military's arsenal and will remain in our inventory for decades to come. But the time has come to move on. |

Skirmishes like this are generally left to the experts....the commanders of the armed forces involved. I am sure the president is kept abreast of the situation, but has little input......
Why is it, that whomever is the president at the time gets all the flack for every little detail?.......I think its time you all grew up and realized that there is more to running a country than dealing with some "Captain Jack Sparrow" wannabes................

I'm not an Obama fan but he should get credit for letting the right people handle the situation as truman said the "buck stops here".It is easy to criticize bad moves,so it should be easy to give credit when it's due.

This is all true. Of course, I do draw the line on turning around and giving the widows of the pirates a half a million for "undue distress" in their lives. I believe in the old adage of "living by the sword and dying by the sword". It is now up to the U.S. to stand our ground for the next round of attacks (there will be more...) In a while, Chet. |

I think the snipers was an outstanding move. I was beginning to wonder how long the most powerful navy in the world was going to let itself be handcuffed by four guys drifting in a lifeboat.

obama's brethern
He'll leave his brothers alone now until he is forced to do something else. Now he is going after all those military veteran "terrorists" as his head of homeland security calls us. That will be his way of striking back at th U.S. soldiers that have attacked his moslem brothers.
