Hey everyone, I've got a 350 Chevy in a lifted blazer, mild rebuild a while ago: RV cam, Edelbrock carb & manifold stock heads, roller rockers.
A while ago I overheated the heck out of it and warped a head on my way up to college. I had to have it towed back home. Got the head shaved and installed, but now it is very weak. Plugs look good. Checked compression to find that all cylinders were arould 150 psi except for the two back ones (when you are standing in front of the engine) on the passenger side- they are 170 psi. It is the side of the shaved head if that matters. All other parts the same or better as before the overheat. I think I am looking at a rebuild. How about you guys?
