weatherstripping

ok, so my GN's t-top/window stripping is shot...pours in water when it rains...enough to short out my auto locker on drivers side...so i bought all the rubber needed, but how do i go about replacing it? do i just rip the old stuff off, and pick the remains off, then press the new stuff on with a special adhesive? which one? never done weatherstripping before and just want to do it right after spending sooo much on it.
thanks

You will need to remove all traces of the original adhesive with a suitable solvent. Most OEM weath stripping fits in grooves in the door jamb. The weather stip can be secured with 3M Weaher Strip adhesive (black), take you time with this stuff and go slowly and it will hold like nails.

Well, I tried to install it, but sadly, Poston sent me a bumpkis set of weatherstripping...the left side too short to connect together(t-top peice an inch from frame's weatherstripping) and the right side was almost an inch too long on one side and down the door too! I was flaberghasted...i have heard only good about poston enterprises.

Sof Seal customer

Never had a problem with their product. Another area where you get what you pay for I guess.
