This weekend...

I will accomplish absolutely nothing. Kind of nice to do that every once in awhile. Basically sat in front of the computer today, watched some TV, had my work phone forwarded, talked to a few customers.....

What is everyone else doing this weekend? Getting anything accomplished?

I'm rebuilding running boards for the 38. I've got pics, will post later. Was sunny out but a cold 38 degrees today. Didn't let that stop me. I threw up the garage door and went to work.

I wired a new 220 plug in the garage for my newest garage addition(another welder). Then I yanked the rearend out of the S10 AGAIN and re-welded my lower link brackets on...I'd break a bracket before I would break a weld now
Something about melting metal into a liquid form with electricity that amazes me....The more I weld the more I love it!
Started cleaning out the garage today also....will probably finish that up tomorrow night or monday morning, depending on when I get back from the kids' tournament.
Later,
WEIMER

Kris, glad to see you kick back. Every one deserves a break sometimes. The only problem with being retired is I never have a day off or a holiday, but guess what? I don't care. This weekend was yard time. Had a couple of trees that fell across the back line fence from the adjoining neighbor. (no home, just woods and pasture that is leased out). They are sawed into fire wood and the brush has been added to a big pile that is waiting on the torch. Trimmed some ground cover, aerated the lawn, added fertilizer and lime, cut down all the old growth glowers, shrubs and grasses and added to pile, finished up the rad, fan, and shroud on the Tbird. Now I'm ready to get back to the shop to rest up. Did I mention it was 65 and sunny Sat and near 70 today? Almost sunburn time!!

Working long hours floating somewhere west of Japan.
Can't really think of any reasons why though.
Everyone enjoy the week!

Sat I took the tbucket to the car show down the road at the church, Ran into some buddies, had a good time. Sunday I took my wife to the goodguys meet in Famoso, saw some good racing, looked at a bunch of cars, Willys had his 36 there, didn't run into him this time though, I guess you could say I had a good weekend. Odd jobs around the house Friday. TV Friday nite. Sat morning took G-pa to get his hair cut, truck to get tires and took kids to MC Donalds and the park , then drank at a local concert. Sunday I spent the day with my kids again. then relaxed. HG

Zero, Zip, Nada- ABSOLUTELY Nothing this weekend.

Then again, I had my gall bladder taken out last Monday. It was a piece of cake. Other than the staples in my stomache (Come out Thursday !!) , there have been no problems at all. 2 pain pills on Tuesday, and nothing since. This Doc was awesome!

HAD I DONE SOMETHING, ANYTHING, my wife would have tortured me. (I did sneak in the interior framing for the polebarn on Thursday with my buddies. I was the saw man, so no heavy lifting or bending) She doesn't know about that, so SHHHH!!!

Worked Friday and Sunday. Saturday went to Southeastern University of La. to see Shakespears Metamorphasis. Really cool play. That and I knew the gril who played Aphrodites <drool>. lelts just say she fit the part VERY well!! After the play went to a bar with a couple buddies and had a few cold ones and tossed some darts. Really good night.

Does that mean you had a good time cause you didn't see Willy's? (trying to get something started here. ) He said it Willy's, I didn't.

65 to 70 degrees, Geeeeeeeezzzeeee treeeeeeessssss! That sounds great. I'm coming down right now as soon as I get the 38 loaded on the trailer. Tired working on it in the cold.

Been 2 Long. Almost forgot about the gall bladder thing . Keep me posted with your progress. I'm envious seeing how I was 8 days in the hospital. Gld your doing great!

38-
No lie ! I was wandering around the house Wednesday looking for something to do. (2 days-post op) The 4 holes they poked in me are all closed up and healing great. Like I said, other than the staples, I would have NEVER known that they yanked an organ out ! I feel 100% and the pain in between my shoulders is gone to boot ! (called "referred pain") Chiropractor even agreed it was the Gall Bladder causing it. Unbelievable !!
