Weiand 144 Blower Problem?

Hi Gents,
I have just installed my new 144 blower on my stock sbc, (following the install instructions meticulously), and started it up yesterday for the first time. I have a rattling sort of clattering noise happening at idle, around 650 revs, and it seems to go away when the revs are increased to around 900. The noise sounds like a rattle or a dry bearing and seems to come from the snout area. I am new to blowers so I'm not sure if this sound is normal or not. I thought it might have been coming from the belt tensioner. Has anyone had this issue?
Any help appreciated!! Thanks

Check the oil level in the front blower snout. There should be a sight glass to show you the level.

See if you can associate the rattling to the belt and belt tensioner. Have you double checked the belt tension after running it, or is it a serpentine system? What weight oil does it call for in the front cover? Are you idling the car at 650? Do you have a way to post a video?

Thanks for your replies guys
I just contacted Holley to get to the bottom of this and they advised the noise is normal on these blowers at below 1000rpm....they say it is gear lash and nothing to worry about
Cheers

I listened to my Blower Shop blower and it has the similar noise too. Low idle only.

Same with my BDS 6-71... at very low idle, it slaps the belt and lashes the drive gears... I keep the idle up where it doesn't do it... about 850-900 rpm.
