Weiand Manifold question

Hi

I was reading a book and was just about to make a decision on what manifold to buy for my Chevy V8 that is going into my S-10. I was origionaly going to buy a Edelbrock manifold but a book i bought told me that the Weiand Street Ram will offer both Low and High RPM

sorry i hit the keys way too fast

The manifold that the book recomends looks like a team G single plane with no extra rise and looks like a Q-jet will adapt to it which is what i am going to use. However the website recomends 2800-up
which i plan to run
1500-6500 area (something streetable with a little fun in it)

The engine that i am building for the S-10 isn't extream but i am building it with a little pick up and go in it. I am also using newer heads on the engine. Is this the manifold for me or should i find something else. can anyone else recomend a manifold that they liked or brand to go along with the newer head design. I know that limits my options on what manifold. Later i am building this engine to a 383

ps the book that i was reading is how to build max performance chevy small blocks on a budget
