Weight And Tires
Hey Guys- I Havent Started My Project Yet, But Am In The Research Stage. Im Using A 71 El Camino 283 W/ 350 Tranny And Stock Rear End. The Front End Will Be A Solid Axle With Hairpins. The Body Will Be A Model A Style Pickup, But Im Gonna Have A Really Long Wheel Base( Enough For An 8' Long Bed). My Question Is, What Size Tires Should I Be Using? Id Like To Use About A 250 In The Rear (about A 9 Inch Wheel) And A 150 Mm Tire Up Front (standard Big N Little). I Know That I Dont Want The Car To Peel Out And That That Combo Should Be Big Enough To Prevent Peel Outs, But What About Punching It In A Turn? What I Want To Know Is, How Small Could I Go In The Rear And Stay Away From Oversteer And What Other Handling Issues Should I Keep In Mind? Thanx For Your Help!
