Question Weimer I have some questions.

I am going to be getting a used car sometime in the future. I had it narrowed down to a Daewoo but they have no aftermarket parts and O.E. parts are probably expensive. I am just wondering what year Civic would be the best to have? I am needing to know which Civic has the least amount of troubles, and cheapest parts.I probably woun't do much to it, well maybe I will have to euro it out because the wife likes that sort of thing Steve

P.S. I am not giving up on V8's Just need something cheaper to maintain.

Go with anything 92 and up...parts are cheap and very plentiful. From what I have found out Hondas are very simple and easy to work on. Kinda like the SBC of Japan.
If you need anything else let me know.

Are you a shop man Weimer? I really want power from a V8 but I kinda want a smaller car like a Civic. Can't have both worlds on my kind of pay. Steve

Not a shop man...just build Hondas/Acuras new.
If you want the 4cyl with a few horses go with the VTEC motor. Or...you could always go with an Accord with a V6, or an Acura Integra.

Weimer, is that RC truck a clodbuster? Don't mind me, its been a long time since I've messed with that stuff. Very cool truck though. I have a clodbuster, used to be pretty cool to play with and pull stuff around, but it eventually broke and I just never fixed it. Had a few Traxxis(that doesn't look like it spelled right <img src="graemlins/drunk.gif" border="0" alt="[drunk]" /> ) baha trucks too, still have 1 or two of them along with a bunch of RC plane stuff. Do you get into the planes at all because I'm trying to get rid of it all.

Did you get that tail light yet?

The RC truck in my Album is a Tamiya Juggernaut 2...It has 4wheel drive and 4wheel steering like the Clodbuster also. I have a ClodBuster that I need to redo but never got around to it. The only thing that I need to do to this one is some paint and the rollbar put on.
I haven't gotten the taillight yet, I'll let you know when I do get it though.

WEIMER

Cool

I thought a daewoo was a car speaker? Get a consumer digest and see what their experts say? They should compare a lot of different cars for you!

i believe there was a company selling all the parts for a Datsun Z-car-to-SBC conversion... sounded like it might be an interesting idea.

$700 for the kit, plus engine and trans. good luck, whatever you choose.
